My New Computer

Got back from Future Shop today with bag in hand and a new computer! The good ole 17-Inch MacBook Pro has certainly been a good companion all these years but it's time to move forward. The new model is the Macbook Air 13-Inch. it's nearly 2D and has more disk space than my 17-Inch beast did anyway.

On other fronts, I had some fun this weekend hanging with some of the Affinity Bridge crew for ArianeK's bday! The events consisted of brunch and music. It gave me a good chance to see everybody outside of the work environment.

I plan to blog in the near future on how taking up the reigns of GIT has been. My crash course on drupal features, new (to me at least) site deployment with install profiles and drush make files.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all music lovers all over the world! I hope you all got the pressie you wanted and had a long overdue family dinner!

Artistic Impulses

The current and past term at BCIT have left me in a dried up lake bed, creatively. I hadn't made anything nice to look at in quite some time. Yesterday, I came in to the New Media Centre a few hours early and explored http://www.smashingmagazine.com for fun and inspiration. I made a nice background image for the girlfriend and a bunch of throw-aways for fun. It's always fun to let your photoshop brush run wild for a bit!

I'm starting to get a feel for the classes Term 4 has to offer. They are more about business then any class previously, which scares me! I haven't been to PHP class in ages because of the holiday (BC day). I find myself excited in anticipation of Saturday's PHP class.

Maybe if i like any of my recent works i'll link em up here.

Final note:

Go check out http://www.smashingmagazine.com you can spend hours exploring.

Heated PHP

Hey guys,

Welcome to the blog! I'm going to be blogging this semester on my web learnings, life and cool tools you guys should check out. First mention is my rant. This heat is killing me, I have slept over the covers all week and it makes me very uncomfortable!

After being away from school for 2 weeks, I have found myself the tiniest bit behind in my learnings. I spent a few hours last night reading through extra chapters of my PHP text book because it's so darn interesting. Currently we have been tasked with creating a database with a table full of clients, arranged in rows. I can add clients, update clients and view clients but i cannot figure out how to delete rows from my table. Over the next week i'll upload my documents so people can actually see what i'm doing and perhaps comment.
